Summer Days!

June 3rd was the launch of the new annual catalogue.  It is jam packed with so many amazing goodies and new products.  One of the products is the new Host stamp set Summer Days.  It was one of a few products that I saw and knew that I had to have it! I love it because it is a stamp set you can essentially get for free with Stampin’ Rewards.

I love the cute images of the girl sitting under the tree, the animals and even just the serene image of the trees along the road.  There may not be any sentiments but sometimes you don’t need one to get a message across.

Anyway this is the first card I made with the set.  I wanted to make a clean card using products from the new catalogue (some are carrying over, some are new). Let me know what you think!

Pootles Swaps I received!

Wow it has been a busy couple months especially with the new Autumn/Winter catalogue.  With the new catalogue comes a swap with the other Pootlers!  This one obviously had the focus of products within that new catalogue! It is so great to make a card and then send it to someone! This time I had 10 cards to make and received 10 in return!  A lot of crafters make cards and other projects but never really actually send them to anyone so this is a perfect time to do so! Anyway without further ado:

A cute card from Vanessa!
Can’t believe I got to swap with Vanessa twice and receive this great card!
Karen sent me this gorgeous card!
A wonderful monochromatic card from Gez
A wonderful card from Hannah
A lovely traditional card from Julie!
A great shiny card from Dali!
A beautiful textured card from Sam!
A lovely detailed card from Yvonne
A cute fun card from Justyna!

I received so many gorgeous cards from my swap partners I am so incredibly lucky and grateful to have such great partners.  Check out my following post for my swaps.

Pootlers BlogHop: New Goodies!!!

blog.jpgHey! So it is that time of year where the new Autumn/Winter Catalogue comes out which means loads of new fabulous goodies.  With all these new goodies comes another Blog Hop with my fellow Pootlers.

This catalogue has such amazing products in it that I really struggled to pick on to focus on for this hop.  I couldn’t decide between, elves, snowmen, penguins and more! Eventually I went with this fabulous traditional set: Light & Peace.

The next hardest part was picking a card design and this time I went for what I call a trophy card.  Anyway, enough of me rambling.  Here is the card:

I did try something I don’t usually do and that was sponging.  With this image it was interesting to do.  I simply stamped the image onto some post it not tape, cute it out and stuck it on top of the stamped image on the whisper white piece.  Then I sponged on and around and removed the post it not to have a clean image!

This card folds flat for posting which is amazing! Check it out!

Anyway I hope you like my card! Would love to see what you are making.

Janice Thomson created this beautiful card using the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set.  I love how she only colored part of the images!

and last but not least Karen Varley. Karen made this fabulous card using the Rooted In Nature stamp set.  I absolutely love the background! fullsizeoutput_207c

Rawrsome Dinos!

One of the great things about being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is that you are a part of a team. I am lucky enough to be a part of the Pootlers. One of the benefits of being part of a team is that you get to see so many different ideas and you get to work with so many other amazing demonstrators. This time instead of working together we actually swapped cards with one another! Our theme for this swap was the new catalogue. We had free rein as long as it was something in the new catalogue.

There are so many amazing new products in the catalogue that it was so hard to pick. Until I pulled out the Dino Days stamp set and dies.

IMG_20190630_152712.jpgThis set, which luckily comes in a fabulous discounted bundle, is so fun and I love cute puns!

Once I had picked the bundle it was easy to then pick colors because thanks to Stampin Up! everything coordinates!  With the Dino Days bundle comes a dino themed designer series paper!  Then I needed to pick a card design and I decided to go for something I have never done before: a bridge card.

Once I had everything designed in my head it was time to stamp, cut and score everything for 10 swaps.

I just love these cute dinos and I can’t wait to make more projects with them so keep your eyes peeled!

Let me know what you think!

Get back on those feet!

Oh my goodness I just can’t get enough of these cute little animals! Anyway as a crafter we sometimes end up making a project with loads of layers and embellishments and everything that makes the card over the top! (Remember there is nothing wrong with this) However sometimes it is nice to go back to just notecards, stamp and ink!

Well with that fabulous Back On Your Feet stamp set it is easy to do!  So I decided to pull out those amazing Whisper White note cards to make some quick and easy Get Well cards.

For these gorgeous and simple cards all I used was Memento Ink, Back on your feet stamp set, Stampin’ blends and whisper white note cards!

Within minutes I was able to make three quick cards to help build up my stack and to show that you don’t need everything to make gorgeous cards.

Let me know what you think of them.  Do you prefer to make over the top fully decorated cards or do you go for the simple cards?  Would love to see your projects!

Back on Your Feet!

Today was my cuppa and card session.  I run it once a month, the last Wednesday of the month at my local coffee shop.  It is always such a great afternoon full of laughs, beautiful cards and delicious drinks and sometimes we even spoil ourselves and have a cake or two!

There is usually some sort of card theme i.e. birthday, thank you, Fathers Day, etc.  This month I decided to go with get well.  I figured everyone can use a get well card at some point and I have had few friends who have been injured or ill recently so this was perfect!

Anyway! What better stamp set to use than the Back On Your Feet set!  I love the cute animals in this and the sentiments!  I just can never get enough of these phrases!  So I just had to make this fabulous card for the session.

I mean look how cute this poor turtle is! He is also so easy to color with the Stampin’ Blends which is a bonus!

This month I had three amazing ladies join one, one of which had never been before!  We had so much fun and I love how the ladies always put their own spin on their cards!  Check them out!  It is great that everyone used a different image and saying.  It just goes to show how well each sentiment goes with each animal!

What do you think of the cards! Let me know! Hope you can join us for the next cuppa and card!

Pootlers Team Blog Hop

So at the beginning of each new year people always have a New Years Resolution that they never stick. Sometimes you hear of people choosing a word to focus on for that entire year, sometimes they do but more forget. Well I am neither of those people. I never have a resolution or a new word but if you haven’t noticed lately I seem to have adopted a word despite it being June, that word is challenge. I just keep finding yet something else that is new and challenges me.

My latest one is joining in another blog hop but this time a much larger one! This blog hop is with the larger team that I am a part of. I am having so much fun trying new things and being part of these blog hops and with this one I have tried a technique that I have always struggled with. Anyway the theme of this blog hop is New Catalogue/New Products.

When I saw the theme I knew exactly what set I wanted to use and that was the Over the Moon stamp set. I mean look at these cows how could you not love them, plus the punny phrases!

Anyway so I wanted to try to find a way to use them all and I just couldn’t figure out a way. So I started looking through techniques and decided to try something that I have never found easy and that is inking and sponging a background. So I pulled out a BUCKET load of inks and just started going at it. I know it is nothing fancy but I am proud of it and that is what is important isn’t it.

Anyway let me know what you think of it and check out the other members of the team I am part of!

Happy Crafting!
