One of the great things about being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is that you are a part of a team. I am lucky enough to be a part of the Pootlers. One of the benefits of being part of a team is that you get to see so many different ideas and you get to work with so many other amazing demonstrators. This time instead of working together we actually swapped cards with one another! Our theme for this swap was the new catalogue. We had free rein as long as it was something in the new catalogue.
There are so many amazing new products in the catalogue that it was so hard to pick. Until I pulled out the Dino Days stamp set and dies.
This set, which luckily comes in a fabulous discounted bundle, is so fun and I love cute puns!
Once I had picked the bundle it was easy to then pick colors because thanks to Stampin Up! everything coordinates! With the Dino Days bundle comes a dino themed designer series paper! Then I needed to pick a card design and I decided to go for something I have never done before: a bridge card.
Once I had everything designed in my head it was time to stamp, cut and score everything for 10 swaps.
I just love these cute dinos and I can’t wait to make more projects with them so keep your eyes peeled!
Let me know what you think!
Oh my goodness I just can’t get enough of these cute little animals! Anyway as a crafter we sometimes end up making a project with loads of layers and embellishments and everything that makes the card over the top! (Remember there is nothing wrong with this) However sometimes it is nice to go back to just notecards, stamp and ink!
Well with that fabulous Back On Your Feet stamp set it is easy to do! So I decided to pull out those amazing Whisper White note cards to make some quick and easy Get Well cards.
For these gorgeous and simple cards all I used was Memento Ink, Back on your feet stamp set, Stampin’ blends and whisper white note cards!
Within minutes I was able to make three quick cards to help build up my stack and to show that you don’t need everything to make gorgeous cards.
Let me know what you think of them. Do you prefer to make over the top fully decorated cards or do you go for the simple cards? Would love to see your projects!
Today was my cuppa and card session. I run it once a month, the last Wednesday of the month at my local coffee shop. It is always such a great afternoon full of laughs, beautiful cards and delicious drinks and sometimes we even spoil ourselves and have a cake or two!
There is usually some sort of card theme i.e. birthday, thank you, Fathers Day, etc. This month I decided to go with get well. I figured everyone can use a get well card at some point and I have had few friends who have been injured or ill recently so this was perfect!
Anyway! What better stamp set to use than the Back On Your Feet set! I love the cute animals in this and the sentiments! I just can never get enough of these phrases! So I just had to make this fabulous card for the session.
I mean look how cute this poor turtle is! He is also so easy to color with the Stampin’ Blends which is a bonus!
This month I had three amazing ladies join one, one of which had never been before! We had so much fun and I love how the ladies always put their own spin on their cards! Check them out! It is great that everyone used a different image and saying. It just goes to show how well each sentiment goes with each animal!
What do you think of the cards! Let me know! Hope you can join us for the next cuppa and card!
So at the beginning of each new year people always have a New Years Resolution that they never stick. Sometimes you hear of people choosing a word to focus on for that entire year, sometimes they do but more forget. Well I am neither of those people. I never have a resolution or a new word but if you haven’t noticed lately I seem to have adopted a word despite it being June, that word is challenge. I just keep finding yet something else that is new and challenges me.
My latest one is joining in another blog hop but this time a much larger one! This blog hop is with the larger team that I am a part of. I am having so much fun trying new things and being part of these blog hops and with this one I have tried a technique that I have always struggled with. Anyway the theme of this blog hop is New Catalogue/New Products.
When I saw the theme I knew exactly what set I wanted to use and that was the Over the Moon stamp set. I mean look at these cows how could you not love them, plus the punny phrases!
Anyway so I wanted to try to find a way to use them all and I just couldn’t figure out a way. So I started looking through techniques and decided to try something that I have never found easy and that is inking and sponging a background. So I pulled out a BUCKET load of inks and just started going at it. I know it is nothing fancy but I am proud of it and that is what is important isn’t it.
Anyway let me know what you think of it and check out the other members of the team I am part of!
So with the new catalogue release comes new goodies, some of which include new Designer Series Paper (dsp)! Well there is some gorgeous new dsp that I just can’t wait to get my hands on.
Of course when it arrives I will love it so much that I won’t want to use it but I now get the DSP in and chop it ready to be used. However the storage becomes an issue. Therefore I now use the clear and wood mount stamp cases. I needed to make some sort of inserts to go into the cases so I know what is in them so I have made inserts for the new DSP! If you would like them simply click here!
Hope you like them. Remember if you have any retired DSP or Memories and More packs or anything you would like to store in any of our stamp cases let me know and I can get an insert made for you.
